Mystery of the Baby Shoe

Earlier this week, I was at a restaurant. As I casually glacned outside I saw a baby shoe lying on its side in the middle of the parking space. All at once I felt sad and yet curious at how it had gotten there. What were the circumstances that lead to a shoe ending up in the middle of a parking lot, well away from the curb. I tried to take a picture with my phone but sadly it is lacking in that department. That being said, I ask you, nay I challenge you to paint a picture using words to describe how the shoe got there. Any genre is acceptable though some are more difficult than others. If you have what it takes...good luck! And if you don't- well, good luck to you too anyway. Since I haven't seen too much activity on Ficly here lately, I'm giving twenty days to enter.
