Terms and house rules

The short version: write your own words, be kind, and share generously.

1. Write it yourself

Everything you publish must be written by you, a human. Don't publish text generated by AI tools, in whole or in part. Stories that are reported and found to be AI-generated will be removed, and repeat offenders lose their accounts. MinnowPress uses AI only to suggest writing prompts, and a person reviews each one.

2. Your work, shared alike

You keep the copyright to what you write. By publishing, you license it under CC BY-SA 4.0, so other writers can write prequels and sequels, and anyone can share it with credit. Only publish work you have the right to share. You can edit your published stories; edited stories say when they were last changed. Drafts are private.

3. Be kind

No harassment, hate, spam, or content that sexualizes minors. Mark mature stories as mature. Moderators may remove anything that breaks these rules. Use the Report link on any story or comment to flag a problem.

4. Your account

We store your email address so you can sign in, and we never sell it. Sign-in links work once and expire quickly. We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in, and no tracking or advertising cookies.
