Graveyard

Footfalls, raindrops. Dark wood, weathered and smooth, the shadows of a thousand fingerprints buried within. Deep, soft carpet- depressions left from furniture older than the room, finally gone. A leak in the ceiling. Water drips like a metronome, counting down the hours until demolition.

_A library! A sitting room! A playroom, a nursury, a study-_

A graveyard.
