Christina Ricci

Author: Tad Winslow

Behave, but its better to never obey,

Detour, delay, Christina Ricci, my

8 yr. old self wanted Wednesday

Way back in the day, hey, I had

Peachy facial hair and a short

Buzz cut, I would watch the

Addams Family for a glimpse

Of her black lips, plump n' placid,

White teeth, so sarcastic and caustic

And sick n’ nauseously narcissistic, I

Was awe struck like “aw shucks” with a

Blush, red like the tip of a matchstick, she

Flipped me like a light switch (turned on by

Her darkness) flicked n’ dismissed n’ I didn’t

Resist, I didn’t insist, either, anyway, real love

Isn't the enemy, even if spurned, what burned

Still _exists_, mixed in this memory n' poem n'

Song, People who I make frequent _visits_ to

Are to whom I wish I could belong
