On The Now pt 4

Author: L. L. Burrows

And in dreams was a curious thought. Asleep, we see what awake we cannot. I had been dreaming of grass. A plain thought. Plain, but sweeping and consuming. I was peaced by these dreams. Dreams of fields of blue and green and white. Dreams of more enthralling colors. I dreamt of purple, and silver, and tangerine, and neon, and periwinkle and the color of angles wings, and the color of a newborn child, and words of things that didn’t make sense to even my unconscious mind. Yes!--Yes! I thought. My thoughts were doing just what they were intended to do. Awake, we can know. But asleep we can not know. Isn't it curious how we strive to do what our bodies naturally tell us not to do. To know is to grow, true. But in a state of not knowing, our bodies and minds are the happiest. "Ignorance is bliss" as they say.
