It was All for You
You didn't come out of your room for three days. So I paid you a visit.
I sat outside on your lawn and threw pebbles at your window until the sun turned pink with sleep.
In the night, I spray painted your grass into letters that asked if you were okay and that reminded you that you are important.
I left jars full of fireflies at your balcony, one for every thought of you, and I could never bring enough.
It was all for you, everything I brought, everything I could show.
The morning shown for you and the flowers bloomed for you, the stars that dance in vanilla moonlight and every smile. Oh, how it was all for you.
If only you had been there to see it.
