A Fiddle's Tale
Hey diddle diddle Have you heard about the fiddle Who dared to dream of a spoon Who wouldn’t think to laugh At his dreams of flying Over a bright and shining full moon
He thought he could seduce Though he was too obtuse To romance past a wine and dine He thought a rose or two Was surely enough of a prize To win an object with a bendable spine
But his "heartfelt" declarations Of love were mere decorations On a cake of contempt topped with scorn And so he was spurned And his bow bowed beneath His pride's weight after it was beaten and torn
