Lightning Strikes

Author: remembrancer

Call me crazy Call me smart Call me fun Or just a waste But as I dance in tears from a dark gray sky My heart beats faster than a drum Faster than the wisps that keep hummingbirds afloat In air crisper than a freshly baked Warm apple pie Pulled seconds from the fiery heat of Hell’s oven And I wait for some salvation Some lighting bolt to strike me down As my body crumbles to soggy ground And my soul floats free In glorious deathly isolation
