stagnant
When I told you how I felt I gave you every ounce of my being. I didn't tell you however, how long this has been going on or how much I care. I let that destroy me from the inside with a stagnant facade around you. I didn't let it show so you had no idea. I never told you everything because it would ruin everything. In protecting what we had I muted that existence and those hopeful thoughts. It didn't make things any better, because here I am stunned by your oblivion, when I am at fault for your innocence. It didn't phase you, but it broke me.
