leaf
much like searching for myself in photos of crowds in the Straits Times, I found myself standing before intersections watching cars, red lights, trails of smoke pass and I wondered. Wondered if the shade of me dispersed with the wind, danced with the breeze, leaving my soul in its wake, asleep. In that moment I felt as though I was the leaf, hanging onto the branch, waiting for departure, to be carried away.
