Slow Erosion.

Maybe if I believed in myself Half as much as other people seem to, You wouldn't be such a problem for me. Perhaps if I thought things through, If I didn't give up so easily for you Perhaps then I could see more clearly. If I had firmly stood my ground When I was denying my feelings for you Maybe we wouldn't be in this mess. If I had just walked away Or never ran into you that day I could have saved us the heartache and stress. But here we are now all discretions aside, Trying to see through this haze. We're making up lies No matter how hard we try We know that it's not just a phase. So where do we go from here? Which path do we choose? We either destruct or implode But we don't say what we're feeling In these moments we're stealing So we sit here and watch one another erode.
