Girl Scouts

Author: Ariah Oak

Seeing those little girls behind the counter, so unsure and so shy when dealing with strangers, whisked me back to my days wearing that vest. How eager I was to grow. Troop mothers told us stories in the forest and we listened with baited breath, hanging on every last word. I smiled at the girls in front of me, handing them my seven dollars, saying thank you, I will enjoy.
