Time

Nobody can say What another year will bring. Certain things are guaranteed, Like the deaths of trees and Relief from the frost but What will my place be In the concrete wheel of the year?

The clock seems to have snuck up on me; Take me back to when my Future was bright and my eyes were Shining with all my fruitless dreams and Unguarded emotion.

But the corruptions of life are irreversible, So I sit and watch the People and aspirations drift In and out of my life and know The only thing you can ever depend on Is the passage of time.
