Indigo Burns

Rain trickles down the window pane A soft indigo blue like a pulsing vain

Fire may burn inside my heart, but explodes, leaving its scorching mark

Water sprinkles from the starlight, it sizzles, burns but soothes My face turns red, I roll of the bed, my body fighting for life

My heart races, the cloth laces, sharp like a butcher’s knife It burns its way through my soul, into the embers of coal

Let me die here in peace It hurts but will release…

The fiery, splintering, angry feeling The culprit that makes my heart urn

Its dark, its black, its painted in slaps… Its my indigo burn.
