Who are the cleaners II

Author: Sage Autumn

For whatever reason, instinctively, I was running aimlessly west. As the planes flew over, dread ran through my body, strait from my heart through my veins, like a cold black starless night. It was odd because the first planes that came through were like unmanned planes, tiny little things, then seconds later, you could hear a big one coming in. This set up hope, that I could manage to time these crafts. Wildly running through what seemed like heavy fog, though the day was clearly a blue sky with a sun warm enough to wear tank top and shorts, I heard the big plane coming, no small plane first. The problem with that, was in a valley, until I would see the unmanned plane fly over I didn't know what direction the carrier was coming from. All that played back in my head was seeing a high school with kids running track and doing sports outside, as I helplessly stared as the plane unloaded its acid onto the schoolyard, children's bodies dropping, my heart just shattered.
