cold showers

inch open eyes the hazelnut milk walls salute me another day in suburbia

swing out of bed pad along on the thin slice of carpet soaking up my feet as i reach the bathroom

remove my clothes sticky polyester top scented with the odour of a sleepless night jump in.

cool. crisp. nippy. trailing smoothly over coarse skin refreshing in the fluroscent lights

dry off shaking my skin loose with a magenta wedge of 100% cotton chuck on my monochrome uniform sloppily muddled: the euphoria of the school life

substance is next an inhaled bowl of sugary goodness in a puddle of milk washed down with a tall glass of pure caffine.

open the door sun streaming into squinted faces turn back, hope for salvation a horn cries.

a new day has begun.

unfortunately.
