just like it used to be.

Author: Anna Hope

like lemonade held to the roof of my mouth the bitterness curdles as it all tumbles out: I never wished to leave you; it never was my heart I was a world-class idiot; I nearly fell apart I miss the swaying hammock as dandelions fill the air with specks of fluff that drift and spin and get caught in your hair I miss the sun that shone from your face with every smile and how time stood still for us for that short golden while I shouldn't have thrown autumn upon us, the sky that tortured me I wish that sky was clear and blue -- just like it used to be.
