Staggering Minutes

Author: Browncoatben

The minutes stagger by, slowed by my perception and vain desire to make them run. They glance at me, a confused stare dominating their faces.

I deeply know that I want more time. I want to relish experiences and live life. I know that time will expire and I will die.

I know I only have so much time left.

So, why am I willing it by so carelessly? Why run toward the cliff?

From my beige cubicle, time is an overly-abundant menace and I find myself willing to sacrifice a little life to get away.
