There I said it

_I thought I was good at keeping secrets, but in reality I'm just a good liar. I caught him kissing that other girl behind the bleachers. He thought I told her, but somehow I couldn't bring myself to tell my own sister that he was cheating on her._

"You know I love you, right?" He bats his eyes.

_God, he's an even bigger asshole that I thought. She just needs to tell him, and quick. Dad's going to be here any minute to pick us up._

"Just tell him before dad gets here."

_She glares at me, long and cold. Then she starts shuffling in those stupid high-tops again. He looks at me for help, like I'm going to end this nightmare. I hate him even more for what he's done to her, and for putting me in this situation._

"Just say it, pookie. We knew this day would come."

_Dad's horn breaks the tension, causing me to explode like a ticking time bomb._

"She's pregnant."

_There, I said it. I grab her wrist and drag her to the car, wiping the tears from my eyes. Right now I hate my dad for always being on time._
