Premonitionised (Superhero Black Hole: part 21)

The screen flickers white. The countdown from 5 to the film's beginning passes. The lines and moldspots and cigarette burns momentarily crowd the screen, then disappear.

And then...

..._an image_.

_A multitude of images, one after another after another_.

_An image of myself_.

_Of myself lying on the ground_.

_Icy ground_.

_The ice reflects a flickering light_.

_I'm unconscious_. _My head is bruised, cut and bloodied_.

_My facial muscles twitch of their own accord_.

_Blood surrounds me_.

_Most of it is not mine_.

_Tendrils of fuel mix and mingle with the blood_.

_Fuel spills from an upside-down car_.

_A woman and a baby lie on the upside-down roof_.

_Multiple vehicles lie tossed across the road's thin ice sheen_.

_Flames crackle and lick the night sky_.

_A man with glass in his face soundlessly screams_.

_A deer darts fearfully across the scene_.

_Fire quickly crawls my way via its trail through the blood_.

_My eyes open as the fire engulfs me_...

"_STOP!_"
