Passage

The aborigines led him back towards the Fire Wall.

Herik was tense, unsure of what was happening. He played with the amulet, which glowed in his hands. He could feel its warmth spreading from his fingers throughout his body, almost like a Spirit prodding and exploring...

He quickly dropped it.

The aborigines stopped walking and looked at him. One picked up the amulet (_it didn't glow_) and held it out. When Herik didn't move, the aborigine sighed, and threw the amulet away. It fell on Herik's neck.

"What is this?" Herik finally asked. "Passage," he replied.

The Wall loomed over their heads.
