A True-er Rendition of Twilight
The boy awoke with a start at the sounds of angered yelling and banging. He rolled out of bed with a thud; nearly waking his lovely female meat-puppet. Still amiss in the drowsiness of recent slumber, he strolled to the window to see what the commotion was about. Suddenly, he stopped: fully alert as he noticed the mass of angry townsfolk; speckled with the occational torch or pitchfork. "No... They've found me", he said in a hushed tone. Startled by the ever-growing sound of rioting, the girl awoke, clutching her bedsheets as he re-dressed. "You don't have to leave me again, do you?", she said with a whimper. "Yes, I'm afraid so my dear", he said coldly, as he finished fashioning his triangular-necked cape. "The villagers have become more and more _suspicious_ since the murders began again. That _damned_ werewolf...", he said shaking his fist. "But we shall meet again, soon enough." She nodded as he unlatched the window and flew silently into the night; just as the villagers broke through the front door.
