A Meeting

Author: Amaris Wolfe

I met myself today, and she was not who I expected.

She was a thinker, a dreamer, a doer. She could dance in the rain with a smile on her face. If you gave her an idea, she would run with it. She had talents-not the least of which was to _listen._ She was beautiful, and quick with her smile and her laugh. When she fell, she had the audacity to get back up.

Others looked at her in awe for who she was... ...while she cried herself to sleep over what she wasn't.

I met myself today, and she wasn't who I expected.
