Fear Crept (Poem)

Author: D.E DeWitt

Fear crept behind my eyes As I looked to my crystal ball; Fog swarmed around the glass And would not show what I'd befall.

Fear then crept down my shoulders As my nails drug and scratched, But no matter how I abused the surface I saw nothing behind the glass.

The fog trickled from the globe, Becoming breath to wild anxiety. Then fear crept to my spirit And took hold of my sanity.
