Uninspired
I feel like I should write something But something's been built; a block On my creativity, taking away that zing That stunned people in shock From time to time. They'd say Wow, I can't beleive you thought To put our world as a needle in hay, Your mind boggles me, I ought To bookmark this for sure. Or maybe even sometimes Call my work a flop in need of cure Or more concise a scheme of rhymes, Yet still the ideas would flow And create something, if only a few Lines, repeating row on row. At least then I always knew That I could think beyond my small Mind; but nothing is inspiring Anymore. I freeze. I begin to fall. I feel like I should write something But my fingers seize up and shake And my mind drifts off to more concise Pleasures. Maybe I should bake a cake? At least then it would thaw this wretched ice.
