"What the hell is this?"

Jessica stared at the lines printing to the screen. She'd been asked to install the latest operating system on the college network, but she had no idea it'd be this much of a nightmare.

First the installation CD wouldn't work. Then the external drive didn't work. She had already tried searching through the drive, trying to uninstall it first... and had somehow inadvertently triggered this lapse of... thought?... from the computer.

Nothing seemed to stop the log of output, slowly typing itself across the screen, walking a thin line down the monitor.
