whirling darkness

Darkness. Silence.

I was alone with my thoughts. I could no longer feel the pressure of my armor against my skin. The pulse of the life support system was also gone.

I tried to speak, but the only words I heard were in my own mind.

"Hey..."

Suddenly I was surrounded by trillions of points of light. Solar systems, nebula, planets a time lapse of the galaxy, sped up to inhuman speed.

My mind whirled but I felt no nausea.

"Stop!" I shouted as best as I could without my mouth. The display paused. Even though I couldn't feel my body, I was able to change my focus. I recognized the landmarks of my galaxy before the event occurred. The Great Nebula, Jessica's Pearls.
