Dreams of You

Lightning bugs flash outside my window, While I lay awake in bed. Crickets chirp their endless song, As dreams of you play in my head.

I listen to our favorite song, You know the one, While I stare at the moon, And wait for the sun.

I know you see the same moon, Across the ocean over there. I wish I could hold you, And see the moonlight in your hair.

One day soon, we'll be together, For not even oceans can keep us apart, Until then, just know that I love you, And you'll always have my heart.
