You take your Matter Transporter thingy and decide to go outside and take a look around. The moment you step outside, you realize you made a grave mistake. The combination of the pseudo-string-reality and the presence of your transporter outside of the parameters of the established reality has created a rift in the fabric of space-time and the vortex is engulfing all of the surroundings.
